Where electrical and mechanical meet
A lot of faults sit on the boundary. A car that will not start might be a starter motor, a fuel problem or a sensor. An engine running badly might be ignition, injection or something reading wrong. Being across both sides means the diagnosis does not stop at the edge of one trade, which is where most of the wasted money in this game gets spent.
Trucks and farm machinery
Mechanical work on machinery, on site where we can. The same principle applies out in a paddock, only more so: a machine down mid-job is losing money by the hour, and getting one bloke out who can handle whatever it turns out to be beats two trips.

Mechanical repairs, answered
Do you do mechanical work as well as auto electrical?
Yes, both. It means one call and one visit instead of chasing an auto electrician and a mechanic separately, which matters when the nearest alternative might be a tow into town.
Can you do a logbook service without voiding my warranty?
Yes. Australian law lets any qualified mechanic carry out logbook servicing without affecting a new car warranty, as long as it is done to the manufacturer schedule with the right parts and stamped. We stamp the book.
Do you come to me for mechanical work?
For a lot of it, yes. Servicing, brakes, cooling and diagnostics can usually be done on site across the Tablelands. Anything needing the hoist comes into the workshop at 9 Railway Lane, and we will tell you which up front.
