What we work on

Tractors, headers, harvesters, balers, excavators, loaders, tippers and trucks. Cane, dairy, avocado, banana and cattle operations across the Tablelands. If it runs on 12 or 24 volts and it has stopped doing what it should, it is our sort of job.

Machinery air conditioning

Roof mounted air conditioning fitted, serviced and repaired on tractors and headers. Long days in a hot cab are not just uncomfortable, they cost concentration, and in this climate a failed cab air con usually means the machine stops. We repair the system rather than just topping it up with gas, because a regas on a leaking system is money out the window.

We come to you

Most of this work happens on the property. We carry the diagnostic gear, the common parts and enough wire and connectors to get a machine going again the same visit where we can. Where a part has to be ordered, you will know what it is and what it will cost before we leave.

Do you come out to farms on the Tablelands?

Yes, that is most of this work. We travel across the Tablelands to properties around Atherton, Tolga, Walkamin, Malanda, Kairi, Herberton and out to Mareeba and Dimbulah. Give us a ring and we will tell you straight whether we can get to you and when.

Can you fix the air conditioning on a tractor?

Yes. We fit, service and repair roof mounted air conditioning units on tractors and headers. We leak test before regassing, because putting gas into a leaking system just means paying twice.

Do you work on 24 volt systems?

Yes. Trucks and a lot of heavier machinery run 24 volt, and it is a normal part of the work. Same for dual voltage setups and anything with an isolator or a battery bank.

What else we do

Auto air conditioning

This is Far North Queensland. Air conditioning is not a luxury item, and a car with no air con in February is close to unusable. We fix the reason it stopped rather than just filling it back up with gas.

Dual battery & 12V setups

A 12V setup either holds together on corrugated roads or it does not, and you find out which a long way from town. The difference is almost always in the fusing, the cable size and how the joins were made.

Auto electrical repairs

Something has stopped working, the dash is lit up, or the car will not start, and nobody has been able to tell you why. Electrical faults get expensive when they are guessed at, because you end up paying for parts that were never the problem.

Mechanical repairs

Being an auto electrician and a mechanic in the one van is the whole point. Out here the alternative is often a tow into Mareeba and two separate bookings, and a fault that crosses the line between electrical and mechanical is exactly the sort that gets passed back and forth while nobody fixes it.

ECU tuning & remapping

A remap changes how the engine actually behaves: where the power comes on, how it tows, and how much fuel it drinks doing it. Done properly it makes a vehicle nicer to drive and cheaper to run. Done badly it costs you an engine.
